ATV accident sends Moore Haven man to hospital

MOORE HAVEN — A Moore Haven man was listed in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 14 following an ATV accident.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, Tony Lamorris Patrick Jr., 35, was riding an ATV on the grassy shoulder of Riverside Drive, just after 4 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the report.

According to the FHP, Mr. Patrick was ejected from the ATV and sustained a significant impact to the head. The ATV overturned before coming to a rest in the upright position on the grassy shoulder. Glades County EMS responded to the accident scene. Mr. Patrick was transported by MedFlight to Lee Memorial Hospital. He was listed in critical condition Sunday evening.
