Glades camp applications being accepted at schools

The Glades Education Foundation’s push to create a two-week summer camp getaway for children ages 5-12 that won’t be too costly for parents has succeeded. Applications are now being accepted at the county’s three elementary schools for kids to participate. They must be returned to the school offices at Moore Haven Elementary School (MHES), West Glades School and Pemayetv Emahakv Charter School no later than the last day of school, Friday, June 1. The camp, whose participants will meet at MHES for activities and field trips July 9-20, is being made possible by contributions from several individuals and organizations, including the Glades County Youth Livestock organization, the GEF and County Commissioner Donald Strenth on behalf of the county.
