Glades County Road Watch Report for week of Oct. 28

SR 78 from SR 29 to US 27: Maintenance project: Crews will be landscaping near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 78 from US 27 to Indian Prairie: Maintenance project: Crews will be landscaping near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 78 at Deadman’s Branch: Construction project: Crews will improve drainage along SR 78 at Deadman’s Branch.  Additional improvements include dredge and fill, desilting structures and pipes and installation of fencing and rubble riprap, which is material used for erosion control.  Single lane closures may be required during construction, but at least one lane will be open at all times. Estimated project completion is the end of year 2018. The contractor is Maer Homes, LLC.  Please watch for workers in the construction zone.

SR 78 from Buckhead Ridge to just west of the Kissimmee River: Maintenance permit project: Crews will be repairing guardrails near the roadway from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near and on the roadway.

SR 29 at Whisper Creek RV Park:  Maintenance project: Crews will be cleaning drainage structures near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
