Moore Haven Legion post hosting Ortona ceremony

The Moore Haven American Legion Post 299 will sponsor the Memorial Day service on Monday, May 28, at the Pavilion in the Ortona Cemetery, beginning at 11 a.m. The program includes prayers, a color guard presentation, music by several singers, the giving of a Quilt of Valor to a veteran, and a speaker to be announced. American flags are being placed by the Palmdale Baptist Church on the graves of all veterans (over 250) buried in the cemetery. Everyone is invited to attend. Complimentary refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the service. Contact Kirby Sullivan for more information at 863-946-2556.
