Tires cannot be used as fence

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission recently stopped a Glades County resident from using old tires as a fence.

According to the FWC report, Environmental Investigator Luher responded to a complaint regarding a large number of tires stored at a private residence. Upon arrival, she learned the owner had 600 used tires delivered to her house to use for a fence. A tire shop delivered the tires. Warnings were issued to the tire company for delivering tires to an unpermitted facility, and to the owner for improper storage of tires. The tire company retrieved the used tires to dispose of them properly.
