These upcoming meetings of local elected officials, scheduled during the next several weeks, are open to the public. As voters, YOU the public employ these people, and they’re spending the tax dollars that you pay them for your municipal services. At these meetings, they decide how, when and where to do so, and what will be done, and YOU have the right to be heard.

Glades County

Moore Haven – next City Council meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m.

Glades County – The next County Board meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chamber (Room 201) on the second floor of the Glades County Courthouse, 500 Ave. J S.W., Moore Haven. The meeting agenda is available by the Friday before on the county’s website, www.myglades.com, by clicking on the “Agendas & Minutes” header on the left side of the home page, then on “Current Agenda.” The meetings are not livestreamed, but members of the public are welcome to attend in person, or to request a copy of the audio recording later at the county clerk’s office.
