Halloween carnival set

The MHES Accelerated Reader Program’s annual Halloween Carnival will be held on Oct. 27 starting at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Tom Perry Park. FEC/FTA meeting

LABELLE – Everyone is invited to attend the Fisheating Creek Florida Trail Association (FEC/FTA) Sub-Chapter meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. at the Carlson United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 3110 Campbell St. in LaBelle (west of Upthergrove School). Pumpkin Patch

CLEWISTON — The pumpkin patch is at the Hendry County Fair Grounds Pavilion and opened daily Tuesday through Friday 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday through Sunday 2 p.m. to 6p.m. Take your camera for a picture in the photo area. They have small, medium, large and novelty pumpkins. All proceeds go towards Active Citizens’s for Children activities.

Pastor Appreciation Day

On Sunday, Oct. 30, Prevailing Word Christian Center will commemorate Pastor’s Appreciation Day in honor of Pastor Mazie Ford and Elder Charile Ford, Sr. On behalf of the Pastor’s Appreciation Committee, an invitation to the public for this occasion for a church service followed by a luncheon. Trick or Treat night

The Glades County Historical Society will feature its annual Trick or Treat for Children Night on Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the historic Pieter Westergaard House, 270 Ave. L, near the Methodist Church. Watch for ghosts and goblins! For more information call 863-801-5199.

Legion has dinner theatre

The American Legion in Moore Haven, 600 River Road, will be hosting a Dinner Theatre on Nov. 4. Tickets are selling fast and there is limited seating! Tickets can be purchased through Jennifer Cook at 863-233-6084 or Gail Williams 863-228-4203. The next meeting will be at 10 a.m.

Veterans Slideshow

Samantha Rhymes will be putting together a Veterans event at the Moore Haven High School called Veterans Slideshow on Nov. 10. If anyone has pictures of veterans please bring them by the high school for Samantha to scan. She will not keep photos; they will be scanned and returned.
