The State of Florida, Department of Revenue has approved the 2015 Glades County Tax Assessment Roll.

On Aug. 14, I will be sending each property owner a Notice of Proposed Property Taxes. This notice contains the property’s value as of Jan. 1, 2015, the millage (tax rates) proposed by each local government, and an estimate of the amount of property taxes owed, based on the proposed tax rates.

Please remember that the Property Appraiser does not set your tax rate; that is the responsibility of your local taxing authorities. If you have questions regarding tax rates and would like to get in contact with your local government, your Notice of Proposed Property Taxes will provide you with their contact information, along with the date, time, and location of their public hearings. Decisions made at these meetings regarding proposed spending will be a determining factor as to how much tax you will pay. The meetings are provided to give you the opportunity to voice your opinion.

If you have questions about your property’s market value or property exemptions, I encourage you to call (863-946-6025), email ( or visit me at my office (located on 500 Ave J, Room 202, 2nd Floor, Courthouse).
Thank you for the opportunity to work for you.
