The Glades County Public Library now has new benches outside for the public to utilize.

The new benches donated by The Friends of the Library and the Glades County Library Advisory Board have arrived and have already been installed thanks to the Glades County Manager, Mr. Paul Carlisle and the Glades County Maintenance Department.

The six new park benches have been placed around that big old live oak tree in front of the Glades County Public Library and will serve as a comfortable place to sit for those who wish to use the Library’s free Wi-Fi where no pass word is needed.

One does not have to be a resident of Glades County or have a library card to use this free Wi-Fi service.
The new benches are made of the recycled composite plastics on a wrought iron frame and should last for many years to come.

Wi-Fi service is available outside the library 24 hours a day seven days a week. Inside the Library, computer services are available during library hours with access to the internet and/or the World Wide Web.

These services are open to the residents of Glades County who hold a current library card and they can also be available to those who live out side of the county for a nominal fee.

The Glades County Democrat is published every Thursday.
