Man charged with drug possession

MOORE HAVEN — On March 15, at approximately 2 a.m., Glades County Deputies James Clendening and Talon Youngman were coordinating traffic enforcement in the City of Moore Haven. They conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle and made contact with the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, Mario McCurvin, 34, of Pembroke Pines.

During the traffic stop, deputies found 3.47 pounds of marijuana. He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of drug equipment, driving without a valid driver’s license, and possession of a counterfeit license.

Also seized were digital scales and a vacuum sealing device used for packaging.

McCurvin was booked into the Glades County jail.
