Moore Haven man dies in motorcycle accident

MOORE HAVEN — A 22-year-old Moore Haven man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Monday, March 5.
A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) press release stated that at approximately 11:19 a.m., a 2018 Yamaha YZ450F Motocross Motorcycle operated by Marcus Hallback, 22, of Moore Haven, was traveling west in the grass lot of 1225 Latum Belle Street, north of Latum Bell Street. The motorcycle continued west and was approaching the Community Center Building. For unknown reasons, Mr. Hallback lost control of the motorcycle and was separated from the motorcycle. He collided with the east side of the Community Service Building.

It was reported that due to injuries sustained, Mr. Hallback was pronounced dead on scene.

Mr. Hallback was not wearing a helmet.
