Woman arrested after Moore Haven bank robbery

Glades County Sheriff, Stuart Whiddon, announces that on Feb. 16 his agency was made aware of a possible bank robbery which had just occurred at First Bank (Moore Haven Branch). Upon the arrival of the uniform patrol deputies and the Criminal Investigation Division, it was determined that a robbery had occurred and evidence was being collected and recovered from the bank as well as other local businesses who were able to supply video footage of the area.

Through the evidence and information gathered the Investigation led to the arrest of Jacqueline D. Brown approximately two hours after the robbery occurred. Brown was subsequently interviewed and admitted to the bank robbery and is being held at the Glades County Jail pending her First Appearance Hearing.
