MHES students enjoys Literacy Festival

Moore Haven Elementary’s fifth-grade students visited Gulf Coast University (GCU) during their second annual Literacy Festival. The students were all given a book to read titled “Outback,” by M.W. Adams. The students met Mr. Adams at the festival and were able to have their books signed.

The day was filled with fun around the GCU campus. Students were able to listen to books being read aloud, meet other authors and visit the campus library. It was a wonderful experience, and the school would like to thank the Glades Education Foundation for funding this trip through a mini-classroom grant.
